The Illinois River Watershed Partnership 2011 Golden Paddle Awards honored leaders in watershed stewardship and natural resource conservation in the Illinois River Watershed. Six awards are given annually to individuals or entities that exemplify good stewardship in the protection, preservation, and enhancement of the watershed.

Business Golden Paddle Award went to Walmart Stormwater Compliance,
Mark Goldsmith and team.

EcoModern Flats Team, led by Jeremy Hudson, earned the Construction Golden Paddle Award.

Mark Simmons, Chair of Simmons Foods, won the Golden Paddle Award in Agriculture.
Tracie Ashley and Principal Holmes from Prairie Grove Middle School EAST received the Golden Paddle for Technical, Research, and Education.

Conservation Golden Paddle Award went to The Nature Conservancy: Cord Gallipeau, Mark Kottmeyer, Mike Slay, Ethan Inlander, Tim Snell, and Scott Simon.

The Golden Paddle Award in Government went to Cherokee Nation Environmental Programs, received by Larry Adair.

The Golden Paddle Award in Government also went to the City of Siloam Springs, received by City Director Ken Krafft, Scott Hodge, and Tom Myers.
