A rain barrel is used to collect rainwater from rooftops.  Water harvested in a rain barrel can be used to water yards and gardens.  They are fairly easy to construct, easy to maintain and are a great conservation tool that can be used to help in eliminating stormwater runoff, which helps to improve and protect the Illinois River Watershed!
Reserve your seat today to attend this workshop, hosted by the Illinois River Watershed Partnership, at the newly established Watershed Learning Center, 221 S. Main St. Cave Springs, AR 72718.
Participants will learn the values and schematics of a rain barrel and will work as a group to complete the construction of their own rain barrel, provided at the workshop, to take home. Cost is $20/person, registration is required
