"Join with us in 2008 as we continue working to improve the integrity of the Illinois River Watershed. Apply your special interests and skills to help us fulfill the mission and vision of the Partnership. We'll be planting thousands of trees as riparian buffers along stream banks in Fayetteville, Rogers, Siloam Springs and Springdale this year. We're forming stream teams to adopt stretches of streams and creeks to conduct water quality monitoring and clean up projects. You can join a stream team or form your own team with family and friends and become partners in preserving and protecting our wonderful natural water resources. Whether you live in Northwest Arkansas or Northeast Oklahoma, you can make a difference where you live, work and play.

The IRWP is also working on a strategic Watershed Management Plan (WMP) for the Upper Illinois River with the nationally renowned firm, TetraTech, Inc. The Watershed Management Plan will provide the most scientifically sound assessment of the Upper Illinois River Watershed and will offer a road map detailing what we can continue to do together to preserve and protect our River.
