UA Ecological Engineering Club & UA Law School Environmental Society Volunteer Leaders for Oct. 17 Lake Monitoring


Tonight on ABC 40/29 News at 5, 6 and 10 pm

Join these volunteers on Saturday, October 17,

from the UA Ecological Engineering Club

and the UA Law School Environmental Society,  

and participate in World Water Monitoring Day

on four lakes in the Illinois River Watershed.

WHAT:    Conduct water quality monitoring and lake cleanup

WHEN:    Saturday, Oct. 17,  9 am to 11 am

WHERE:  Four Lakes in the Illinois River Watershed

     Lake Wedington, Wedington

     City Lake, Siloam Springs

     Lincoln Lake, Prairie Grove

     Lake Elmdale, Elm Springs

Old shoes and warm clothes recommended!


Lake Wedington, Fayetteville:


Meet at boat ramp parking lot. From Fayetteville, take Hwy 16 west approximately 5 miles to boat ramp parking lot of Ozark National Forest park.



Lake Elmdale, Elm Springs:


In between the cities of Springdale and Elm Springs, take Elm Springs Rd. to Lake Drive.  Meet at boat ramp parking lot.


City Lake, Siloam Springs:


Take Dawn Hill Road East, north of Siloam Springs approximately 2 miles to City Lake boat ramp. 


Lincoln Lake, Prairie Grove:



Prairie Grove Middle School EAST Lab has adopted Lincoln Lake.  Meet at Prairie Grove Middle School parking lot at 8:45 am.
