Congratulations to our 2015 Golden Paddle Award Winners!

Celebrating conservation stewardship in Agriculture, Business, Conservation, Construction, Government & the Technical/Research & Education field. Winners were presented the Golden Paddle Award during the evening celebrations at Crystal Bridges, during the IRWP Annual Conference held October 13-15, 2015.

2015 Illinois River Art Salon Winners Announced

75 beautiful plein air paintings and drawings were submitted to the Illinois River Art Salon - a juried event featuring artwork celebrating the beautiful Illinois River Watershed of Northwest Arkansas and Northeast Oklahoma. 

The jury process for inclusion into the 2015 collection was conducted by the founding members of Heart of America Artists Association, Todd A. Williams and John P. Lasater IV. Judge of Awards for 2015 was Chad Alligood, Curator at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

This salon is made possible by a grant from the Windgate Charitable Foundation and supports art and nature in the Illinois River Watershed.

Best of Show - $2500 - Michele Wells "Day Break"

2nd Place - $1500 - Julie Gowing Hayes "Sager Creek Bubbly"

3rd Place - $1,000 - Nancy Harkins "Sunlight on Cedar Creek"

Honorable Mention - Becky Porter "Glimmer of Hope"

Honorable Mention - Judy Howard "Across the Pasture"

Honorable Mention - Julie Miller "Shadow Play"

Honorable Mention - Roseanne Kissee "The Pool at Natural Falls"

All selected works of art will be on display in the IRWP Watershed Learning Center at 221 S. Main Street, Cave Springs, Arkansas. Visiting hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturdays 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
