Over 70 volunteers participated in "Make A Difference Day" at the Watershed Sanctuary on Saturday, October 26.  They helped plant native trees, remove debris from the trails and lake bed, eradicate invasive vegetation, and relocate the floating wetland islands.  Some even took home native trees from our tree giveaway!

Students from Walnut Farm Montessori visited the Watershed Sanctuary for a field trip last week and learned about the Illinois River Watershed and its tributaries, caves, endangered species, and forests.

Several streamside landowners in the Illinois River Watershed attended a conservation dinner on Oct. 17 at Simmons Great Hall at John Brown University.
