Join us on October 7th at 9 AM to “Pick up Where You Play” at one of two sites:

Each fall community partners come together on a regional effort to remove litter from recreational areas. We hope that you will join us in our mission to improve water quality in the Illinois River Watershed by joining “Pick Up Where You Play”. This clean-up is a partnership with the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service. There are several sites and dates to contribute to these efforts which can be found through the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Office website HERE.

Cleanups will start at 9 AM and we will go until the site is cleaned up but no later than noon.

Acknowledgement & Release of Liability

By registering for this Volunteer Event I acknowledge the inherent risks associated with my involvement and by accepting these risks, I do hereby agree to release the Illinois River Watershed Partnership (IRWP), the Board of Directors, and any participating staff or event partners from any and all responsibility and liability from any accident, injury, death, or loss, whatsoever, that may result during or in connection with this Volunteer Event. This acceptance and release of liability includes, but is not limited to, activities such as canoeing/kayaking down a flowing river, hiking along the bank of the creek/stream and/or roadway, walking through brush, wading in a flowing stream, or other activities related to this event. I agree to take no action against the Released Parties because of any error, omission, accident, mishap, negligence or willful misconduct arising out of or in connection with the Volunteer Event. I further expressly understand and agree that the foregoing indemnity, release and waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the States of Arkansas and Oklahoma and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full force and effect. I hereby certify that I am eighteen years of age or older, and I agree to participate as a volunteer in this event.
