In the Fall of 2024, IRWP partnered with the Mount Sequoyah Retreat Center and FlowState LLC to install green infrastructure on their property. These features increase soil infiltration, reduce stormwater runoff, and hold back water flows. This improves water quality, reduces flooding risk downstream, and creates a thriving habitat for local wildlife!
Now, we want to maintain this native landscape - which requires minimal effort! IRWP staff and volunteers will perform an early spring cutback that will make room for new plant growth!
