Join IRWP staff at the Sanctuary in Cave Springs!
Volunteer events will feature various activities, including:
- Rain Garden Maintenance
- Invasive Plant Removal
- Native Plantings and Restoration
- Litter Cleanups
The Volunteer Event on Tuesday, February 24th will focus on early spring rain garden cutbacks and litter cleanup.
Throughout the winter, IRWP rain gardens were left intact to provide habitat and food for native pollinators—now it’s time to cut them back and make room for new spring growth. With vegetation still minimal, this is also an ideal time to remove litter along roadways, stopping trash before it makes its way into our local waterways.
Why Volunteer?
Learn about green infrastructure and its role in sustainable stormwater management.
Help restore and protect the local watershed, benefiting the entire community.
Enjoy a hands-on opportunity to learn about native plant species that support biodiversity.
Meet other passionate individuals who care about environmental conservation.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own equipment -loppers, clippers, gloves, shears- or to use our provided tools. There will be water available throughout the work session to keep everyone hydrated.
