The American Canoe Association (ACA) and Visit WOKA Whitewater Park are proud to announce that the ACA National Canoe Slalom Championships will take place at WOKA Whitewater Park on November 21-22, 2026, bringing many of the nation’s top paddlers, rising stars, and Olympic hopefuls to Northeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.

The National Championship will showcase competition across several canoe slalom disciplines, including kayak, canoe, and kayak cross events all on the Illinois River!

The National Championship will showcase competition across several canoe slalom disciplines, including kayak, canoe, and kayak cross events.  The championship is expected to draw elite competitors from across the United States, including members of the national team pipeline and athletes pursuing future Olympic opportunities. In addition to providing high-level competition, the event will introduce many local spectators to one of the world’s most exciting paddle sports.

There are volunteer roles available to help carry boats, support paperwork, and more!

Volunteers can work the full day or in hourly shifts. These hours can be accredited to those needing certified volunteer hours!
