Volunteer Soil Sampling at the Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park

Join IRWP staff and the University of Arkansas Dr. Brye and Dr. McDonald from the University of Arkansas Crop, Soil, and Environmental Sciences.

Learn more about soil health and prairie restoration!

IRWP staff, U of A Professors, and volunteers will be collecting baseline soil samples for physical and microbial soil parameters. This data will help guide IRWP’s future prairie restoration taking place!

There will be a morning shift (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM) and an afternoon shift (1:00 - 4:00 PM) with lunch provided in between. You are welcome to stay the whole day or just attend one shift!
